Hi! I'm Kristina Ohland and I am a lifestyle on-site photographer. Photography has always been a hobby of mine until recently. My husband Jimmy and I have three beautiful children, Harper, James & Peyton. After having children, I've dusted off my camera and learned how to master it so that I could capture moments I knew my mom brain would someday forget.
It’s no mystery that life happens fast. I have always tried to slow it down by taking photographs and trying to freeze the moment, but unfortunately and unsurprisingly, I haven’t learned how to freeze time. What I have learned through the years though is that a moment captured is usually a moment to smile back on, laugh about or cry happy tears later on in life.
My mother always had a camera in hand and has taught me a lot over the years. Becoming a mother has uncovered these talents that have been passed down and for that, I feel so blessed. I am also a registered nurse and previously worked in the obstetrics department at Lehigh Valley Health Network. Helping bring babies into this world and helping care for new parents in those first few days has helped culminate this passion for capturing such beautiful moments in life. I literally love everything about school, college, falling in love, babies, children and the ability that women have to carry a life inside of them for 9 months to ultimately go through the miracle of childbirth. Every single second of life is precious. That is why I think taking the time to invest in a photographer while life spins around us is one of the greatest investments you will ever make.
Kristina Louise Ohland Photography has been a work in progress and has a very special meaning to it. The "O" symbol contains all of the letters of my last name. My husband's grandfather designed this trademark when he was an architect. Since then, it has been become our family's emblem. My husband has been tremendously supportive with starting this business and I have to admit, he keeps me dreaming and longing for more. He's a great partner and I love using his family name and grandfather's art in the birth of this photography business.
