Just like most moms out there who are working full time and parenting 2 kids under age four, my friend Devin was very on top of getting professional photos done when her son (and second child) turned 6 months old. Devin traveled the distance to come to her homeland of Mount Bethel and it was a no brainer doing this photo shoot at Potomac Park, essentially the park her Dad has been the mastermind behind for years. It was only fitting then that he showed up halfway through the shoot. I have to admit, I love when anything out of the ordinary happens during photo shoots, because it just makes for less ordinary (better) photos. For the first few minutes, six month-old Maclin hated almost everything about posing for the camera in 90 degree and high humidity heat, but his sister Quinn had the time of her life. She tried her hardest to get Maclin to smile and that, she did! Quinn and Sofie saved the day, and for those of you that have had babies over the last 7 years know EXACTLY what I am referring to when I said that cute little giraffe's name. Sofie=life saver & melt down preventer. Despite the intense heat, I had a really great time catching up with this family and meeting the youngest addition. I'm also grateful for the pretty amazing park which just might be the bait that gets this family to move back home some day ; )
